BUSINESS CULTIVATION

WHAT IS BUSINESS CULTIVATION?

We work with young people, women and men from the Ixil region who want to organize, strengthen and run their businesses with a clear and realistic vision.

It is a Philanthropy program that, since 2016, has strengthened early-stage and growth-stage ventures, supporting entrepreneurs in building sustainable business models adapted to their context.

OUR METHODOLOGY

The Cultivation methodology combines practical training and close support to guide entrepreneurs in building and validating their business model. Through the process, participants achieve:

Identificar su mercado y clientes ideales
Develop sales and brand strategies
Manage costs and project your sales

OUR IMPACT

In recent years, the program has strengthened businesses and organizations through strategic alliances with partners such as FAO, Philanthropiece, HIVOS, and Alterna, achieving concrete results:

69% generate social impact; 18% generate social and environmental impact.
More than USD 1 million in funding secured, indicating market confidence.

In 2025, Business Cultivation supported rural ventures with 70% female participation, promoting economic leadership in the region.

These results confirm the effectiveness of Business Cultivation as a strategy to strengthen entrepreneurial skills, boost local economic development, and promote sustainable ventures with a positive impact. Since 2022, more than 30 young people have participated in this training. Many of them have been able to clearly identify their vocation, continue their studies, start businesses, or assume community leadership roles. The program also contributes to reducing forced migration by providing young people with tools to identify opportunities within their own communities.
